Shipping policy
Shipping & Delivery Policy
Effective date: 22 October 2026
This Shipping & Delivery Policy applies to orders placed through the AutoCulture online store.
By placing an order with AutoCulture, you acknowledge and accept the delivery terms set out below.
1. Delivery Timeframe
Our estimated delivery timeframe is 8–11 business days from confirmation of your order and successful payment, unless a different timeframe is clearly stated on the relevant product page or at checkout.
Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding South African public holidays.
The 8–11 business day timeframe is an estimate and may include order processing, preparation, fulfilment and courier transit time.
We aim to deliver all orders within this period, but delivery dates are not guaranteed where delays arise from circumstances outside AutoCulture's reasonable control.
2. Delivery Partner
AutoCulture primarily uses Aramex Store-to-Door for deliveries within South Africa.
Once your parcel has been handed to Aramex, delivery is completed through Aramex's courier network.
Aramex generally delivers to physical addresses and requires delivery to a recipient or authorised person at the delivery address.
P.O. Box addresses cannot be used for Aramex Store-to-Door deliveries.
AutoCulture may use another suitable courier or delivery provider where reasonably necessary.
3. Delivery Estimates
The 8–11 business day timeframe is an estimated delivery period and not a guaranteed delivery date, except where AutoCulture has expressly agreed to a specific delivery date in writing.
Delivery may take longer because of circumstances including:
-
courier network delays;
-
delivery to regional, remote or outlying areas;
-
high parcel volumes;
-
peak shopping periods;
-
Black Friday or festive-season congestion;
-
public holidays;
-
adverse weather;
-
road closures;
-
strikes or industrial action;
-
civil unrest;
-
natural disasters;
-
load-shedding or infrastructure failures;
-
supplier or fulfilment delays outside our reasonable control;
-
customs or regulatory delays where applicable;
-
incorrect or incomplete delivery details supplied by the customer;
-
unsuccessful delivery attempts; or
-
other events beyond AutoCulture's reasonable control.
Where a delay occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to assist with tracking and resolution.
4. Delays Outside Our Control
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, AutoCulture will not be liable for losses, costs, damages or expenses caused solely by delivery delays outside our reasonable control.
This includes delays caused by Aramex or another independent courier provider after the parcel has been dispatched, provided that AutoCulture has acted reasonably and complied with its obligations under applicable law.
AutoCulture will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from a delayed delivery, including loss of income, missed appointments, installation bookings, workshop charges, vehicle downtime or similar losses, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded.
Nothing in this section removes any cancellation, refund, delivery or other right that a consumer is entitled to under the Consumer Protection Act, Electronic Communications and Transactions Act or other applicable South African law.
5. Delays Beyond the Estimated 8–11 Business Days
If your order has not arrived within the estimated delivery period, please contact AutoCulture with your order number.
A delay beyond the estimated timeframe does not automatically mean that the parcel has been lost.
We will investigate the shipment with the courier and provide available tracking information.
Where applicable law gives you a right to cancel because AutoCulture has failed to deliver within an agreed or legally permitted period, that statutory right will remain available to you.
6. Tracking
Where tracking is available, customers will receive or be provided with a tracking number after the order has been dispatched.
Tracking information may take some time to become active after the parcel has been handed to the courier.
Customers may use the tracking information provided to monitor the progress of their delivery through the courier's tracking system.
Courier tracking information is supplied by the relevant delivery provider and may occasionally experience delays or temporary inaccuracies.
7. Delivery Address
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery information entered at checkout is complete and accurate.
Please ensure that you provide:
-
the correct recipient name;
-
a valid physical delivery address;
-
the correct suburb and postal code;
-
a working mobile number; and
-
any information reasonably necessary for the courier to locate the delivery address.
AutoCulture is not responsible for delivery delays caused by incorrect, incomplete or outdated information supplied by the customer.
8. Changing Your Delivery Address
If you notice an error in your delivery address, contact AutoCulture as soon as possible.
We will attempt to update the address if the order has not yet been dispatched.
Once an order has been handed to the courier, we cannot guarantee that an address change will be possible.
Any reasonable additional courier charges resulting from an address change requested by the customer may be payable by the customer.
9. Remote and Outlying Areas
Deliveries to remote, regional or outlying areas may take longer than deliveries to major metropolitan areas.
Aramex advises that service frequency to certain remote or regional areas may differ from its normal main-centre delivery schedule.
Accordingly, the standard estimated delivery period may be extended where the destination is difficult to service or falls outside normal courier routes.
Where applicable, additional courier charges for specialised or remote delivery may also apply.
10. Delivery Attempts
The customer or an authorised person should be available to receive the parcel at the delivery address.
If delivery cannot be completed because:
-
nobody is available to receive the parcel;
-
the courier cannot gain access to the property;
-
the customer cannot be contacted;
-
an incorrect address was provided; or
-
delivery is otherwise prevented by circumstances attributable to the customer,
the courier may attempt redelivery or return the parcel.
Any reasonable additional delivery or redelivery cost caused by circumstances attributable to the customer may be charged to the customer where permitted by law.
11. Returned-to-Sender Parcels
If a parcel is returned to AutoCulture because of:
-
an incorrect or incomplete address;
-
repeated unsuccessful delivery attempts;
-
failure to accept delivery;
-
inability to contact the recipient; or
-
another delivery failure attributable to the customer,
AutoCulture may require payment of reasonable redelivery costs before sending the order again.
A parcel being returned to AutoCulture does not automatically cancel the order or create an automatic right to a refund.
Any statutory cancellation or refund rights remain unaffected.
12. Lost Parcels
If tracking indicates that a parcel may have been lost, please contact AutoCulture.
We will investigate the shipment with the courier.
A parcel will not be considered lost merely because tracking has temporarily stopped updating or because delivery has exceeded the estimated timeframe.
Where the courier confirms that an order has been lost before delivery, AutoCulture will provide the remedy required by applicable South African law, which may include replacement or refund where appropriate.
13. Damaged Parcels
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please photograph the packaging and product as soon as reasonably possible.
Where possible, retain:
-
the outer courier packaging;
-
shipping label;
-
product packaging; and
-
damaged product.
Contact AutoCulture with your order number and supporting photographs.
Damage claims will be handled in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy and applicable South African law.
14. Delivery Confirmation
A parcel may be considered delivered when the courier's records reasonably confirm delivery to:
-
the customer;
-
a person present at the delivery address who reasonably appears authorised to receive the parcel; or
-
another delivery arrangement authorised by the customer.
If tracking shows that your parcel was delivered but you cannot locate it, contact AutoCulture as soon as reasonably possible so that we can request delivery information from the courier.
15. Courier Instructions
Requests such as:
-
“leave at gate”;
-
“leave outside”;
-
“leave with security”;
-
“leave with neighbour”; or
-
similar unattended delivery instructions
are made at the customer's request.
Where the customer expressly authorises an unattended or alternative delivery arrangement, the customer accepts the additional risk associated with that instruction to the extent permitted by law.
16. Order Processing
Orders are processed after successful payment has been received and verified.
Orders placed on weekends or South African public holidays will generally begin processing on the next business day.
Where an order contains multiple products, items may require different preparation times.
Unless otherwise communicated, AutoCulture will generally aim to dispatch the order together.
17. Product Availability
All orders are subject to product availability.
If an item becomes unavailable after an order has been placed and AutoCulture is unable to fulfil the order, we will notify the customer and provide the refund or other remedy required by applicable law.
We will not knowingly substitute a materially different product without the customer's agreement.
18. Force Majeure and Events Beyond Our Control
AutoCulture will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events that could not reasonably have been prevented or controlled by AutoCulture.
These may include:
-
natural disasters;
-
severe weather;
-
fire;
-
flooding;
-
war;
-
civil unrest;
-
riots;
-
strikes;
-
transport disruptions;
-
government restrictions;
-
epidemics or pandemics;
-
telecommunications failures;
-
electricity or infrastructure failures; or
-
major courier network disruptions.
AutoCulture will make reasonable efforts to resume fulfilment as soon as reasonably possible.
Nothing in this section excludes any consumer right that may not legally be excluded.
19. Shipping Fees
Applicable shipping fees will be displayed at checkout before payment is completed.
Any additional delivery charges resulting from circumstances such as a customer-requested address change, customer-caused failed delivery, redelivery or certain remote-area delivery requirements may be payable separately where reasonable and legally permitted.
20. Delivery Risk
AutoCulture will remain responsible for fulfilling its statutory obligations relating to delivery.
The use of Aramex or another courier does not remove any responsibility that applicable South African law places on AutoCulture as the supplier.
Customers are not required to resolve a legitimate non-delivery claim directly with the courier instead of AutoCulture.
However, customers may be required to provide reasonable information or cooperation so that AutoCulture can investigate a delivery issue with the courier.
21. Installation Appointments
We strongly recommend that customers do not book installation appointments until the product has physically arrived and has been checked for compatibility and condition.
AutoCulture is not responsible for installation booking fees, workshop charges, cancellation fees, lost time or similar costs caused by booking an installer before receiving and inspecting the product, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded.
22. Peak Periods
Delivery estimates may be affected during unusually busy periods, including:
-
Black Friday;
-
Cyber Monday;
-
December and festive-season trading;
-
major promotional campaigns; and
-
courier peak periods.
Where reasonably possible, we will communicate material known delays.
Customers requiring products by a specific date should order sufficiently in advance.
23. Contact Us
If you have a question regarding your order or delivery, contact AutoCulture using the contact details provided on our website.
Please include your order number when contacting us so that we can assist you efficiently.
24. South African Law
This Shipping & Delivery Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Where any provision of this policy conflicts with a mandatory right granted under applicable South African consumer law, the mandatory legal right will apply and the remaining provisions of this policy will continue to operate.
AutoCulture may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our delivery services, courier arrangements, business operations or applicable law.
